TEDDI ARMSTRONG- PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER
We are proud to introduce Teddi Rose Armstrong, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Teddi was born and raised in Irrigon, Oregon and takes pride in the fact she has roots in a small Eastern Oregon town. Her drive for the medical field was fostered at a young age watching her mother who worked in the emergency department at Good Shepard Medical Center in Hermiston. Teddi was inspired by her passion for others, strong work ethic, persevering heart and a good sense of humor.
Along with obtaining her doctoral degree from the University of Wyoming in August 2017, she brings over a decade of work experience in the field of nursing and psychiatry from a variety of roles. Teddi strives to work as a team with her patients and their families; shared decision-making is at the center of her approach to healthcare.
Incorporating wellness and lifestyle changes are also important to her approach; being a passive member of your own care is not an option. Teddi lives in Eastern Washington and in her free time enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, cooking, traveling, and cheering on her favorite teams– Seattle Seahawks and Oregon Ducks.
Teddi is available for psychiatric medication management and lifestyle coaching via tele med and face to face in Umatilla, Oregon.
STEVEN SMITH- MEDICAL DOCTOR
Dr. Stephen Smith, began my journey into integrative medicine in 1985, when I developed fibromyalgia and realized I was clueless regarding effective and rapid treatment. Surprisingly, so were most of my colleagues, who, like me, practiced traditional or allopathic medicine. Following the quote, “physician, heal thyself,” I started my own quest into alternative and integrative medicine. Subsequently, I realized my case was not unique. I discovered that many of the physicians at integrative medicine meetings and training sessions also suffered from similar health conditions; many restored themselves to full health and vitality using integrative medicine.
It has been my privilege to learn from some of the brightest physicians from around the world who generously shared their knowledge and expertise. It’s this knowledge that helped restore my own health and that of others I have had the opportunity to treat.
Although many medical practitioners in Europe used many of the techniques of integrative medicine for years, it’s a relatively new concept in the U.S. However, because of the benefits offered by both medical disciplines, many integrative medicine clinics are now in the United States, as well. I have used integrative medicine techniques for many years, and I’m pleased with results I have seen in myself and my patients.
